James Ohlen

Director of Design, BioWare

James Ohlen has worked with BioWare since its early beginnings and is currently the Director of Design for BioWare.  James has served as Lead Designer for such games as Star Wars™: Knights of the Old Republic™, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate II, Dragon Age and Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. He was also BioWare’s Director of Writing and Design from 1998 to 2006, in charge of hiring, training and managing the studio’s designers and writers. In 2006 he left Edmonton and moved to Austin to help set up BioWare’s new studio as Creative Director of Star Wars™: The Old Republic™, an online BioWare RPG set in the Star Wars™ universe. Right now he is working as Director of Design across all BioWare games.
